How To Have a Healthy Mind

That is all you have to do .

The problem is your beliefs dictate your actions and right now you have faulty belief systems. If you believe it is 80 degrees outside it will dictate your actions of what you wear. If you believe the road turns your actions are going to be driven by your beliefs and you will turn. Your beliefs dictate your actions.

It is like this: Imagine you are shooting a bow and arrow at a definite target and you have no idea what the target is. What do you think the chances are that you will hit the target? Not very good. Knowing what the target is dramatically increases the chances of you hitting the target. Everyone usually has some definition of health but that is kind of like saying the target is round. A definition doesn’t help much.

Well, my friends, I have a question for you. How many other bad things are on the rise that people are doing? Lots. Just because the sun hits the skin, the powers that be say it means that is the one thing that "causes" skin cancer. They are looking for the one cause and one cure. Remember, there is no one cause of anything. There are only contributing factors.

Being aware and concerned for our physical surroundings and those of employees, feeling gratitude towards others, being dependable, respecting the property and space of others, listening to what others have to say, maintaining a sense of purpose, pursuing an understanding of how things work, maintaining a recognition of the order of things, having respect for integrity.

Self care is really about putting your needs first so you may have; all the energy, positive outlook, generosity, love and more to give to everyone else. If you don’t fill these things for yourself you won’t have them to give away to others. If you are healthy, you will have energy and drive to co-create with someone else. If your past issues are all resolved, then you won’t bring baggage with you to your relationships. It’s evident then, that you are not being selfish but self nurturing.

Now, it didn’t help that my mother had high blood pressure ,was over weight, had asthma, bronchitis, one lung, smoked 3 packs of filterless cigarettes a day ,took a hand full of pills a day and drank coffee like it was going out of style. I believe she was sick.

Before the 20the century there was very little public support for health care. The government rarely got involved and when they did it was only to deal with epidemics or to clean up slums. Much has changed since then.

In such cases the mind can do nothing except agree with the fussy, finicky body and quit. When the body doesn’t feel like doing anything—like, when you feel lazy and any excuse will do to not get out of bed and function—and the mind is too weak to oppose that, you have a case of body over mind. And from that abnormal scenario will flow an equally abnormal life. All elements and issues in life will grow and evolve from that, and you will inevitably emerge a total wreck. Dysfunctional!

Applying these simple tips for living a healthy life will vastly improve your health and consequently the way you feel. When we feel good life is a pleasure and we suck from it all the juice. Life is a gift and know that tomorrow is not promised to you. Live everyday like it's your last and constantly seek out tips for living a healthy life and improving yourself and the quality of your life. Have you ever wondered whether you always need to work (and sweat) hard to feel a rush of energy?

So how lush and gorgeous is the garden that gets watered with an empty bucket? Not! How well can you take care of the important people and tasks in your life when your energy bucket is bone dry? Not well, at least not for long.

There are many ways you can create a sanctuary for your soul. You can lie down and listen to soothing music. You can meditate. Spending time in a room that is a safe haven for you is another way. Float in the sun in the middle of a pool or sit by the beach and watch the waves come crashing in. Creating a sanctuary for your soul requires these things only: you spend the time alone, you are quiet and not doing anything that busies your mind and you do your best to relax. Regardless of how you do it, the most important thing is you do it because…

Reflect - I find that taking the time to reflect on what's happening in my life every few days helps me keep things in perspective and stops negative thoughts before they get out of control. Contrary to what some think, my life is not perfect, I have bad days too. I just try to make time to think about why they're bad days, and try to make sure I keep those things out of my life as much as I can. Of course some days are easier than others, but taking the time to reflect will at least help understand how you're feeling, and hopefully why you're feeling that way. It takes practice, to be sure, and it's worth it!
